I'm not so sure this is true. It may just be an urban legend. I had thought
the same thing until I recently went from one partner to another, and the
partner was able to immediately use my CCIE. Does anyone know if there is any
documentation anywhere citing this? If this is just a rumor, than it is one
we need to stop it because it lessens the value of our hard earned cert.
