Hi Salau,

What model router and cards are you using? Some modules (e.g. on a
3800) do not support independent clocking mode, and instead use the
clock signal from port 0 for all interfaces installed in the module. If
the signal on Port 0 is unreliable, it will affect all the other
circuits. You can configure another port as the source or configure a
failover sequence using network-clock-participate.

Have also seen bugs related to unicast RPF which can take multiple
interfaces down. Sometimes removing uRPF is enough to restore
connectivity, but you may need to reload.

Keep in mind that first level support on SP helpdesks are not always
aware of how to fully check a circuit. No alarms on the monitoring
system means no problems, right? Push a little harder and you might get
a different answer back when the problem is escalated and the
termination equipment checked.
