Deat GS freinds,
It might be a easy question for you but I am scratching my heads
since morning to find the correct answer.
I have two subinterfaces to ISP router.(fa0/0.1 and fa0/0.2)
ISP router is configured to drop any access traffic above 5 mbps
combined on both of the subinterfaces. In other words for ISP router is policing total traffic coming on Main interface and not on individual sub interfaces.
Requirement is that I must shape combined traffic on both the sub
interfaces. Now if I apply the shaping on main interface it does not show
up on subinterfaces. If I apply shaping on subinterface then it is
applicable to only that interface. Is it possible to apply shaping on main
interface and then shape the total traffic sent out on both the
subinterfaces to 5Mbps? Or am I thinking a wrong scenario.
Thanks,
Mac
