I have no doubt proctors have seen quite a bit of life when it comes to
taking questions from lab candidates given the fact that testking have made
it possible for lamers to sit the lab exam.
A situation that does not apply to yourself. I have yet to sit my first
attempt but I believe the proctor is the friend of CCIE candidates who know
their stuff.
Consider the question and the possibilities. If you are unsure of
requirements you may clarify with the proctor. A demonstration of your
understanding of IOS capabilities when you speak to the proctor wouldn't
hurt when one is asking a question.
