Well, I'm not by any means a SAN expert myself, but from my previous
experience, when you want to embark on such a project with little or no
expertise, in other to save you time and efforts, you're better of
inviting SAN firms in for meetings where they get to sell/tell you all
you need to know.

I was once involved in SAN deployment, we invited HP and some other
vendor in .... At the end of the day, we got the Cisco CGESM Blade
switches (which I had fun with) and 2 Cisco MDS 9100 Series Multilayer
Fabric Switches (which I didn't have so much fun with) installed. These
came with the HP SAN Blades, we got 2 racks of those, can't remember the
specifics now, but like I said get them in to talk about it ... You can
then pick up from there. I think Cisco has a sort of patnership going
with HP, such that most SAN racks from HP come with Cisco CGESM Switches
and Fabric Switches

We actually deployed some of the BL25p servers:

prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=3191210 I'm sure there are newer ones now.

Many Thanks

Hi Colin,

  I think you misunderstood :(

*Any knid of help (in terms of suggessting site/books/whitepaper) is
really
appritiate.*

I am mature enough to work on any tech, i just ask people to guide me
with
respect to sites/books/whitepaper.

Regards,
Dave
