Hello Folks,

I have passed the Lab in Sydney today on the first go

I thank God Almighty for His blessings on me during this journey which I
started in Oct 2006.

I don't know how many times I said it to myself that I wouldn't be able to
pursue this. But with the support from wide and kids, and by the grace of
God I could complete the first lap.

There are the materials I used:

IE ver 3.0 and 4.0 and NMC work books. IE workbook must have repeated at
least four times - all labs in full from Vol1 and Vol 2

IE CoD - an excellent product, which gave me insights into lot of
technologies.

Geoff Doyle Vol 1 and 2

Wndell Odom

Solie Vol 1 and 2

Doc CD - I didn't have to check the doc cd except for one task.

NO BOOTCAMPS - I am with Joseph Brunner in this regard.

These work books helped me learn lot of technologies and SRT (as Brian
Dennis loves to call). NMC helped me understand the L2 technologies better
and to draw up the L2 diagrams. I was always amazed at the speed and
accuracy of Brian McMahan in the CoD lectures. I have taken a couple of days
holidays during the Easter period, which helped me prepare for the last
week. For last three days, I have not done much at all either on Rack or
reading. I was just idled around and did some exercises.

The proctor in Sydney is excellent. I must thank him for directions.

The exam was very fair. There were no any ambiguities. When I read a task
for the first time I thought there were conflicting points in a section and
read it again, and again, then you can interpret the question correctly. I
completed all the sections in about 6 hours. Of course some of the tasks I
didn't attempt and went back after completing all the other sections.
Verified each section and did pick up a couple of things. One of which was a
major issue. If I hadn't pick that up I doubt, I would be writing this
e-mail. The verification is VERY VERY important.

I thank my wife and kids for the sacrifices for the last one year without
any outings and holidays. Now they deserve a BIG holiday.

After a break I think I will start SP. My wife has threatened me if I
continue to study she wouldn't divorce me but live separately. SoI have to
consider that before actually deciding on SP track :-)
