Yes. There is.
The diameter option is a just a macro and when you apply this command it
essentially adjusts the forward-time and max-age.
You will not see the diameter keyword in the running configuration after you
applied the command. Please see below example.
SW1(config)#spanning-tree vlan 1 root primary diameter 4
SW1(config)#do sh run | in spann
spanning-tree mode pvst
spanning-tree extend system-id
spanning-tree vlan 1 priority 24576
spanning-tree vlan 1 forward-time 10
spanning-tree vlan 1 max-age 14
