Guys, there is a current Ask the Experts session in the CCO forums that
Maurillio is moderating. Why don't you post your concerns there? After
all, he is the CCIE program manager so you would be asking the top guy by
doing this. If there are enough collective concerns voiced then I bet he
might look into it a little deeper.

I strongly agreed with Jack FLASH!!
Don't belive what Cisco Cert support says. Thats totally crap, they said out
of cisco.com/univercd URL are not allowed. I did my lab 4 weeks ago (in
Japan) and I was able to open all REDIRECT (out of cisoc.com/univercd/ doc)
and as Scott said, redirect after redirect after redirect..then back to
univercd. I was able to open those redirect too.

I'm beggining to see the advantage of academic qualifactions over
qualifications run by unaccountable companies.

I was told by a lady at cisco a few minutes ago. Anything outside the
http://www.cisco.com/univercd will NOT be AVAILABLE during the lab exam.
Even if the link is broken or the documentation has been moved outside of
the link.

<----------------CCIE proctor Maurilio Said------------------------------>
According to the current "Ask the Experts" thread on the CCO discussion
forums:

"The approach our CCIE Lab operations is taken is to redirect the queries
that are no longer available at www.cisco.com/univercd to the current and
valid web page.

Every time a page is moved our lab team creates an entry allowing the new
path, so all needed documentation will be available for candidates.

Regards,
Maurilio"

<--------------- Cisco Cert SUPPORT says----------------------------------->
I contacted Cisco for this issue and below is their reply:

"Currently, the only online resource during the Lab Exams is the Cisco
Documentation via the link: http://www.cisco.com/univercd/home/home.htm

Candidates will be able to use the information listed on this link; however,
if there is a link(s) within the documentation and gets redirected to the
Cisco.com <http://cisco.com/> <http://cisco.com/> web pages, they will need
to inform the
proctor and at that time the proctors can determine if those sites are valid
or not to use during the lab exam.

Cisco Documentation is not owned by the CCIE Ops team and information listed
there is owned and maintained by the Cisco.com <http://cisco.com/>
<http://cisco.com/> team."

I think this means that I shouldn't count on this DOC. at least It will
delay me till the Proctor approve it!!
