One thing to point out, when you click on the certification agreement
(NDA, etc) you are effectively digitally signing a contract.
If the party signing the contract is a minor (under 18 years of age)
then in many states that signature must be accompanied by a signature of
their legal guardian.
My guess is that check box is to trigger a manual process for collection
and submission of these details. If pearson / vue didn't have this there
may be limited legal recourse for a minor breaching NDA.
And yes, my nine year old daughter runs Linux.
