Hi Sadiq,

I honestly don't recall what the stipulations for use of 'tftpdnld' are, but
I do know that it doesn't always work. I was thinking perhaps everything
defaulted to VLAN1 and so when you set "IP_ADDRESS=1.2.3.4" from ROMMON,
then that IP would be reachable from any port. But I honestly have no idea
if that's true or not. All I can say with certainty is that I've used this
approach with routers and saved boatloads of time, so I figured I'd throw it
out for consideration...

Cheers,

Scott

Hi Scott,

I think you can only use that command if the device has one of those
front-panel ethernet management port right? and the 3560 does not have
that I think. I just dont know if you could tweak one of the
switchports to do that though....

Just a thot...wld be interesting to see if that command could be used
in a scenario like this one

Sadiq
