Hi Dinesh,
Your steps seems to be fine, just bear in mind that the key_id and key_string
need to be identical on both ends otherwise it won't work, the key_chain name
can be different, also check it out for possible spaces in the key_string..
For example:
key chain RIP
key 1
key-string CC1E
int s0/0
ip rip authentication mode md5
ip rip authentication key-chain RIP
That's all you need, maybe you are running into a bug IOS, the configuration
is as simple as that.
