This is interesting...exactly what i need to look at.
If I understand this correctly, this happens alot in real life. For
example, you have a MPLS VPN CE router running BGP with the PE. A while
later, you decide you need a backup solution. You buy an internet line and
building GRE/IPSEC tunnel with EIGRP inside the tunnel. Your router will
get EBGP VPN routes from the PE, and it will also get EIGRP backup routes
over the GRE/IPSEC tunnel.
You also run EBGP with a couple of customer downstream routers...and once in
a while, your GRE/MGRE tunnel need to be put into a VRF...
