I was in the same spot just like you 9 years ago. And i did quit. Decided
to go on with other things...like getting married, having kids :)
Well, now I start over again. This time it is mostly a personal goal. I
feel regretful once in a while about what could have been...not a whole lot
though. So IMO, if you feel like you are close, then put in another hard
month, take master Scott on his offer :) and question his brain out.
If not, then just take it easy, balance things out and see if you get suck
back in it again. Nowaday, I spend 2 hours making the wife happy, 2 hours
playing Bionicles, watching Baby Einstein, and then at night, have 2 hours
or so to myself doing who knows what :)

P.S If you are 15 minutes north of the Frederick - Baltimore line, then you
are in the middle of nowhere :) ...to go to even Netmaster would mean
dealing with lots of traffic jams of the Baltimore beltway AND worst, the
capital beltway...so bootcamp is probably a no no for a family man :(
Sometime, I envy guys who could just have books to themselves for 12 months
:)
