I like your chosen word "empirical" for this discussion Sadiq. There were
literally times that I just put my hands at the keyboard and, much to my own
surprise on more than one occasion, started banging out the correct config.
The pathways were there - just buried deeply under all that stress and sleep
deprivation. You sometimes have to step out of your own way and just trust
yourself. Only through direct experience and in many cases heavy repetition
can you build this trust...
