Eggert,
    Excellent question! I have a very similar doubut. If the question asks
us to do EUI-64, can we hardcode the link-local address ? I know these are
two different things, but i you set in a interface ipv6 address x:x:x:x::/64
eui-64 and ipv6 address FE80::1 link-local, the ip address for the interface
will be x:x:x:x::1/64. So I don' know if doing that, it would violate the
question.

 Does anyone know that ?
