RE: Best Time for BootCamp

Hi guys,

Personally, I recommend about a month or 8 weeks before your exam.

I've done IPExpert bootcamps for both of my CCIE exams (and have passed both
1st time after the bootcamp) and find that with 4-8 weeks between the
bootcamp and the exam (depending on how much rack time you can do in that
period) you can consolidate what you've learnt pretty well.

I generally use the bootcamp to kickoff my hands-on practice, having only
done a few of my weaker topics prior to the course.

I'd imagine some people would prefer a shorter gap if they had done a lot of
rack time prior to the course, and were just using the course for review, or
taking it a second time.

I'm always a little bit worried for my classmates who plan on doing the lab
in the following week to the bootcamp - if they have any weaknesses that
only become obvious during the course there isn't much time to remedy that
before the lab, and given half the lab is "psychology" the extra stress
probably doesn't help.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents. :)

Kind Regards,

Hi Syed,

Perfect question! I'm interested to know too.

Hope Scott, Narbik, Brians and other instructors/trainers could contribute
too!

Thanks!

Regards,
Ron
