Hi Syed,
At CertScience.com I have had a two people take the exam literally the next
day after completing the program. Both passed, but it was not something I
would recommend. Two to three weeks would be about the earliest I would
consider taking the lab after completing our bootcamp, which is quite
comprehensive as it does last over six weeks. But even so, you really need
to go back and review the materials. If you are taking a one/two week
course review is even more critical as the pace of the course is much
faster. Chances are, there will be things you need to study and review
before the test.
In our course, we give a number of tables and charts the student is expected
to memorize before the test. Plus we expect them to review and understand
all six weeks worth of materials before entering the test. This should take
about 40 hours or so of study after completion of the course. Two or three
weeks after completion should be about right (assuming part time studying).
On the upper end, at Certscience.com we require our students to take the lab
within three months of completing the program. We specify three months
because we guarantee they will pass, and want to make sure too much time has
not passed between the course and when they take the lab.
Hope that helps,
Paul Borghese
