................. I am a double IE now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After studying for over 3-4 hours almost every day for over 1 full year, I was
finally able to pass the CCIE-SP lab on my 2nd attempt yesterday in RTP.

Boy! What a journey it was to get here !!!

I started in 2006 after taking a year's break after my R&S CCIE.

I started with all the docs on the cisco cpn web-site. They are an excellent
way to get started.

Next I completed the Configuring MPLS on Cisco IOS book - that book really
helped me a lot. You need this book for this Lab.

I also read the vol I and vol II MPLS and VPN Architectures book. They are
very informative and helpful.

Next I took the IE Online Bootcamp - Brian M and Brian D were excellent !!
Brian M is simply an Amazing instructor !! Thank you Brians!!

After the bootcamp, I started doing the IE Labs and they really kicked me
hard....they are invaluable towards the CCIE-SP prep.....They are a must for
this lab.

In Dec. my company was kind enought to send me for the IE Mentor bootcamp in
SJ, CA.
The bootcamp was really instrumental towards my success for this lab. Roman,
the instuctor was excellent and his mock labs were awesome !! Thank you Roman
!! You are one hell of an instructor !!

My first attempt was last month - I did not make it - not because I did not
know the technologies asked but because of a bunch of stupid mistakes and
panicking !!

I kept checking daily for available dates and found one for yesterday.

This time, I was calm and collected and kept reading the question many times
over until I understood exactly what they were asking. I was able to complete
the Lab on time. The last hour and a half, I checked and rechecked my entire
lab. I reread every question again very carefully and checked every command
that I entered. This really must have helped me 'scrape' through the lab
exam.

Thank you Howard and Bobby for being patient with me while I had you 'annoyed'
with all my questions !!

I would like to thank everyone participating in this forum for providing their
support and knowledge. I have learned so much from so many members here. I
joined GroupStudy in 1998 and it's been 10 years since I have been here - from
my first Cisco Cert in early 1999 to now. Thank you Paul B for GS. Thank you
everyone.

I am finally done (hopefully) with any kind of Certs now. 2 CCIE's was what I
dreamed of and now I have finally achieved it. I don't want any more. I have
done nothing but prepare for one exam or the other every month these past 10
years or more.My next focus is to complete my MBA by summer of 2009.

My family has gone through a lot with me and my wife has put up with my
"eccentricity" of studying this networking technologies and preparing for one
cert and the next, year after year. I would not have been able to get where I
am today without my wife's support!! She has been my rock and pillar these
last 10 years.

Hopefully, this will also be my last email to GS too !! I need to take a
chill-pill and relax now.

;-)

For those of you who have just started in this field or are preparing for your
CCIE lab - remember, You Will get there one day - just Don't give up !! Study
every day and practice !!

Over 12 years ago, I was a nobody working in a retail and fast-food joint.
I had never imagined that I would be where I am today. Thank you God !!

If someone like me can do it - you can you !!

Good Luck and God Bless.

Sincerely,

-Niraj Palikhey
