If you install win2k3 server the mere fact that is running smb/tcp (445) is
cifs.
If you make a \\server1\c$ connection from a pc or another server running
win2k or later you'll be running via tcp/445 (do a netstat -n check it)
If you connect from winnt you'll fall back to netbios over tcp (tcp 139)
