If you can get here (I'm in the NYC world financial center right NOW) and
make more $$$ than India then do it.
It is slow here right now, but don't take less than $100 per hour corp to
corp or $140k annually W2 fulltime. These players around here strut $75k
Patek Philippe watches, $5000 suits and $1000 custom Italian shoes. They can
afford to spend 1/3 of their annual country club membership on good network
engineering at their hedge fund/financial services firm.
However, after speaking with many people, I would look into Dubai or London.
By the end of the decade both those cities will have more economic activity
and opportunities than the NY area. The USA has regulated our businesses
into leaving the country. Many people who work on "wall street" are finding
the jobs leaving NYC for good. You may do much better there.

Subject: right time to come to US for work?
People,
I live in India. I recently got my H1B. Considering the
economic slowdown, is this the right time to travel to US for work. I do
have a CCIE in R&S and I am supposed to go to Newyork or NJ.
