Use Ubuntu 64 bit version for dynamips instead of RHEL5. You just need to
download the dynagen and dynamips binaries and execute them. On RHEL5, you
might run into missing libraries.

On kubuntu, I created a small script to run 4 instances of dynamips on 1st
virtual console keeping the desktop clean. That way, you don't see 4 windows
in taskbar, or a busy Konsole session.
