Subject: Is it necessary to save the initial configs?

Hi all,

Did anyone save the initial config of all the devices in the actual lab
before you started configuring them? I mean, save them in Notepad. I don't
think saving to Flash is allowed. Is it necessary?

I came across labs in some workbooks that have problems injected into the
initial configs and we are supposed to fix them. IMHO, saving the initial
configs prior to configuration allows us to refer back to what is initially
configured in case our solution violates some later requirements.

Please share your opinions.

Thank you.

BR,
Emil
