fyi.. interesting BGP problem

Thinking this a code bug but thought i'd make people aware

I was fooling around with aggregate-addresses in a 4 router scenario
with Dynamips

I made an aggregate address attribute map to set a metric of 15 for
the aggregate sent from that router.

I tested things out for a bit and changed up the attribute map to
send community values and removed the "set metric" command from the
route-map.

After about 10 minutes of testing i did a "show ip bgp" on the
orignating router i made all of my configs on and the modified metric
was still there. I did a "clear ip bgp *" about a 100 times before
i finally reloaded the router. Nothing worked.

After the reload the router came back up with the original metric (as
desired).

FYI - Also did a "clear ip route *" just to make sure something in
the routing table wasn't hanging this up.

If i'm missing something from a BGP internal operations perspective
or how route-maps work let me know. I thought if you removed the
advertise map from the aggregate-address command it would clear it.

Regards,
Nate
