I almost forgot how to telnet to a modem attached to my linux box today.
I thought I was insane.
The only time in my life I telneted to a modem is when I made verizon's
wireless EVDO card worked for my linux box. It worked like an analog modem
(dial 777) that runs at 800kbps. Analog modems disappeared from
our exam scene before I ever had a chance to telnet to one.
I think the only thing I can't forget is Relativity. The logic that shows
the profound mistake in the simplest distance=speed*time equation makes me
believe I am one of the few in the world to see God.
I think, in average, a physics professor spent 10 years from
his/her college year before he/she really got the idea.
