LAM used to be specifically listed on the Blueprint (as was Mobile IP) but
both have been removed. There has always been a problem in naming
conventions.
LAM is also called "IP Mobility" which (IMHO) is why it tends to get
confused with Mobile IP. LAM was designed for mobility within your own
network, Mobile IP was designed for mobility across multiple provider's
networks.
Other vendors have smatterings of it as well, but it's one of those "way off
to the side" things.

What started my post was this white paper entitled "Cisco IOS Mobile IP:
Cisco IOS Local-Area Mobility". Just by the title and the verbiage in that
white paper, my gut reaction was that LAM fell into the broader category of
Mobile IP, which Maurilio says isn't being tested. If LAM and Mobile IP are
distinct, I'm okay with that, but I'm not sure how to separate the two.

LAM is covered by NetMasterClass.com in DOiT scenario 20, FWIW.

|Im not sure they are either. I recall seeing both on old practice labs

|> Hi Pavel,

|> We are not testing Mobile IP. VRRP and GLBP will fall under IP/IOS
