Edouard,
Cisco has built a very useful features in routers and
switches. The name of the feature is Netflow. Enable netflow and you will be
able to gather very useful information such as port utilisation,protocol
breakdown,etc. You will need some form of a netflow collector software that
has the capability to collect netflow information from the switch and
display it in a graphical format. There are plenty of companies that would
allow you to download their product for demo purposes under trial license.
