OT: Cisco IOS End of software maintenance release date

Dear all,

From the Cisco End of Sale announcement of 3550, the end of
software maintenance release date is 2 May 2007. But why there still have new
IOS bug fixed version announce in 2007 Aug? Moreover, the last date of support
is May 2011. Is that "support" includes the IOS bug fix support?

I know this
is over topic, but if anyone know it or know where can I find out the answer,
please tell me. Thanks!!!
