Totally right, totally agreed. I have worked harder for this, by far,
than on any previous certs. Even though I'm still a good ways off from
the summit, I have learned volumes that have helped make me a better
engineer. It has taken hundreds of hours of reading, writing, and lab
work to learn what I've learned, with still more to go to make the
summit.
I don't want companies selling actual CCIE labs. The CCIE designation
is not something that should be cheapened. A CCIE title is the gold
standard, the certification by which all other IT professional
certifications are measured by. I've been awed by this cert for years.
I've respected and admired the few CCIE's I've run into. Their
knowledge and demeanor command that respect.
When I finally earn the right to sign my name as a CCIE, I want my
certification to be worthy of the same respect I've accorded to others
over the years. Stupid CCIE? Not on my watch.

|customer? and even your colleagues will not recognise you and they will
|100% call you "Stupid CCIE", if not in front of you, atleast
|to everyone
|else.

|So lets get the number not only for the sake of number. Am I right
