WOW, that a CCNA look at the issue ;)

Perhaps the remote router

1. blocks ping with an acl
2. doesn't have a route back to the source, the ping your doing just uses
the outgoing interface
3. the next hop to 155.1.12.1 may not have the route 155.1.4.4 in its
ROUTING table? (are your running bgp over a non bgp router, do you have a
sync issue?) Could the next hop

I could name ten more, keep looking...

I have a scenario here, an having problems ping a remote site, although it
shows on the
Routing table, I still cant ping. could this possibly be an ios bug ? i
tried
debug to no avail
