Question about PIM sparse-mode and igmp join/static group

Hi group,

I have this issue that I want to get your opinion on - we have a production
connection to one of the exchanges for receiving multicast data and we have
enabled sparse-mode and configured my router as the RP even though we
receive RP from the other company but then, we use our local router as the
RP for all internal routers. It works fine but the only issue that I have
noticed is that for us to receive multicast data for any groups, we have to
first configure igmp join-group interface config command and to ensure that
we don't process switch data, I have to also use igmp join-group for every
group - needless to say, the config keeps growing whenever we have to add a
group, we have to add two lines under the interface. Has anyone seen this
issue ever and if so, is there an easy way to deal with this kind of setup?
Please let me know asap.

TIA

Tony
