Well, looking on the bright side, this sort of thing is probably part of how
those who fail/almost pass that want to pick a date up 30 or so days out can
do so. I've just been randomly checking available dates (even though I'm
perfectly happy with mine for now) and they are available in the short-term
and the long-term, just not the mid-term.

Going back to our thread of earlier this evening, a lot of this stuff should
hopefully go away or be minimized staring in '08 (and then we can donate
almost at will!)...

I didn't mean to send that e-mail I was just blowing off steam about
watching people constantly booking test dates in US who have no interest
in traveling this way to take the test other than to try to hold them
ransom in trade for a date somewhere else.

Hi Patrick,

When I booked into RTP, it was the first time in about three weeks of
trying I could get a booking *anywhere* on the planet! Perhaps your
question is better directed at Cisco and its ability to staff facilities
closer to where the rest of us live. The Sydney lab hasn't operated for
most of this year. In the last four months or so of looking I've never
seen an opening in Hong Kong, the next closest venue to me.

It's not my choice to travel to the other side of the world to do the
lab. It's a measure of the value I place on the CCIE that I will if I
have to.

Why the heck do you guys grab dates in the us and screw candidates out
of those spots till the last second when you get bumped.

Seams like bad form to me.
