CHAP authentication

One of the question in the workbook states to configure CHAP
authentication over the ppp link it also states the "hostname should
always be used as the remote username even if the hostname of the router
should change"

I interpreted it as not to configure the a hostname with CHAP as CHAP
sends the hostname by default (am I correct?) thus one can change the
hostname and it would be automatically sent over with CHAP. However the
solution did send the hostname along. Please clarify
