RE: Final 40 Approach??

Scott,

Practice your "take off" a lot. The first 2 hours of the lab are very
crucial. Get off to a good start. Be very used to drawing your topology, or
understanding the topology as you see it. Don't be afraid to not rack up any
points in the first 30-45 minutes. I never did. I used that "clear mind"
time to REALLY REALLY look at my topology, so things would stick out later.
Read the whole test, get comfortable with the idea if you do it in parts, it
isn't that bad. Learn to make smart assumptions, "well gosh, to do that I
have to XXXXXXXX, like in my lab at home, etc."

A really cool thing I'll share is master main areas of the DOC CD on paper,
not on the screen. I printed out key areas to read from. The DOC CD
"configuration guides" and the index pages were my savior when I got lost. I
knew those as well as my name.

Last but not least, no matter what you're doing at like 2pm (3pm in SJ) you
stop, start at the beginning, and go look for easy things you over looked.
You're MUCH MORE LIKELY to get the "summit points" you need in the easy
stuff you probably overlooked one little thing on, that the "stumpers"
you've been scratching all afternoon at.

Quaff a watermelon juice and eat some chicken & curry rice with a pita in SJ
for me! Smile and laugh at lunch a lot. Relax. I've heard you talk on the
phone, you're methodical. You'll pass if you're calm and pick your battles
wisely in there.

Scott,

A buddy of mine is taking his this Friday. He has been doing the core plus
some multi protocol and peripheral technolog labs for the last year.

His last "20" plan up to this coming friday has been:

Each day go through the full 8 hour IEWB lab for each day. Again he has been
at this for a year. I will keep you posted if he indeed is successful in
passing the lab

Thanks
