I don't give 2 squirts of Hershey's chocolate into a drunk's underwear what
Cisco thinks of the program!
If they outsourced the production of their plaques to China, well, no
surprise they are junk! Everything that comes from that hellhole of a
country whether its poorly glued $135 Sketchers Sneakers, kid's bookbags,
"tommy the tank engine" trains painted in DDT laced paint, or CCIE plaques,
its all crap, and guaranteed to fall apart fast.
I'll never go there, and they'll never have me. I'm happy to be a CCIE
because I value the program, and how it changed my life ("man up"). If you
want a tough plaque, you can get one custom made from Nickel Silver &
Mahogany from your local custom/engraving shop. Just bring them the Cisco
Logo's (corporate & CCIE) in .eps format, or just convert the ccie paper
certificate into a .eps and they can digitize to be engraved into nickel
siver, and then mounted on real mahogany hardwood. When I get mine made,
I'll post a picture for the group.

Wow - You got a whole one - Mine was busted in the box. I won't hang it
my office - The paper cert looks better. I work with a 10 year CCIE, and
yes I'm proud to be a CCIE, but not of the plaque. You put them side by
side, and you have to wonder what Cisco thinks of the program.

Guys,
Just though I would share my experience with my new plaque. It came
through
the post on Friday and so straight away I gave it pride of place on the
chimney breast. Two days later the plaque came unstuck from its plastic
backing and fell, smashing some porcelain my wife created.
Just wondered if anyone else had a poorly made plaque or if I was just
unlucky and should order another one.
I suppose I should just be grateful I've got it really!
