Collecting all interfaces IP shouldn't take you long. During my preparation,
I usually timed myself and it only took between 2-3 minutes.

That length of time included putting one list for TCL and another for Macro
(switches).

 

I've seen people collecting this information with 'show ip interface brief'.
I prefer collecting them with 'show interface | i Internet'

Think if you don't want to take the full time to create a list of every

network to ping (because your conserned about time) its a bad strat to just

ping each of the loop backs of every router ?
