Most things in Japan are expensive, especially in Tokyo or surrounding
areas. Go to Akihabara while your in town, check out the electronics if you
have a day after you lab. Or soap land if your looking for a little fun :P
Yep, you will get a bento box lunch, usually some cold fish and vegetables.
Maybe some chicken katsu, etc...
