Hi,guys:
Suppose host 1 is connected to a port of a switch1,and host 2 is
connected to a port of another switch, switch2,and the port is in the
same vlan as host 1.There is a trunk link between these two switches.
The frame must be colored when it enters the trunk, which means a
vlan-id is asigned to the frame going from host 1 to host 2. What I am
wondering is that the id has to be removed before it goes out the
access port which is connected to host 2.
So, what's the use of id when the frame is in the switch2 before it
goes out to host 2? If it has no use, can the switch move it away as
soon as the frame goes into the switch2 from the trunk port ?
