Pardon me, its "decrease" and not "disable" in the first line.

Subject: Q.Uplinkfast on two vlans

Hi Experts,

If the question asks to disable the forwarding delay in case of uplink
failure for 2 vlans, we use uplinkfast for that. However, uplinkfast is
enabled globally and for all vlans. So please suggest the best option:

1. Enable uplinkfast globally, ignoring the fact that the question asks
for 2 vlans.

2. Make priority for other vlans 0 so that this switch becomes the root
for them and uplnkfast can run for the only remaining 2 vlans. But again,
that's wrong cos some where it may be most likely mentioned to make specific
switches as root.

3. Disable stp for other vlan (except these two), again seems a drastic
one, considering we have 3 trunks carrying these vlans

4. Manually increase vlan priority to 49152 and port cost to 3000 for
these 2 vlans, but that doesn't takes care of the multicast frame that
switch sends to age out (rather change) the CAM entries to point to correct
uplink switch.

Please suggest.

Thanks
