Hi Henry,

 ebgp-multihop is used to establish an ebgp neighbor over a non directly
 connected interface.

 Using a loopback interface for example will make the neighbor relationship
 to be up even at a loss of the physical connectivity as long there is/are
 alternate tcp path(s)
