Well...

This the short end of it:

1. OSPF -> Don't do it.

2. RIP -> Yep - Love it - in fact it is part of my
routine for basic configuration opening moves unless
otherwise specified.

3. EIGRP -> Case by Case Basis. But generally I read
the lab requirements for this one. I'd have to say I
use it more than I do not.

Now... With that said. I use router-id for OSPF, bgp
router-id for BGP, and eigrp router-id for EIGRP.

Habitual and I use the loopback 0 address for each.
