You might also post some questions there, if you haven't already.
Truthfully, you'll want to consider taking some time out of your CCIE
studies to learn your OS of choice. I personally followed the advice of the
Brians and chose to migrate from Windows to OS X. It took me probably a
week or better to learn the basic ropes of that particular OS and to learn
how to use AppleScript, etc. Dynamips/Dynagen remain pretty user-intensive
and I personally don't see how you'll be able to use them effectively if you
don't have at least a fundamental command of the OS you're running them on.
