It's not solely the province of security networking theory.
Isn't this stuff on the CCIE written for R&S anyway? I recall TCP state
machine, sliding window, SYN,ACK, FIN, PSH etc etc.
Had to learn it years ago when I read Stevens and Stallings too *shrug*
