That's what I did. I finished my last contract at the end of September and
then spent the month of October concentrating solely on CCIE prep.
Up until then I had done a lot of prep work - but was still 'stressing'
about my weaker areas, as well as the lab in general. During the month of
October though - a lot of things really started coming together for
technology wise and as such the stress levels came down.
If you can afford the time - I recommend you do it.
