If you think you were that close, you should ask for a re-grade and fork
out the $250.
No, you should let your mind rest the day prior to the exam. I've always
done that in the past for my lab attempts. It's sort of like a Marathon
runner taking the day off before the big race. It lets you prepare
mentally and physically.
(If Darby spent a third of the time studying that he did typing on here,
he would have pass his lab exam a long time ago...just kidding Darby!!!)
:)

@Derby, Hang on a sec, thought you already got your magic number!?
Kindly let me know how things are going.
@GS, I failed CCIE with 78%, although people tell us we can't really
calculate what we get from the figures on your results page. But, I was
so sure I should have passed and then put in a review request which
turned out to be a total waste of time and worry period for me. I even
wanted to progress a law suit against Cisco for it ... I was that
desperate and confident. The irony of the story is that I did 2 Cisco
Assessor labs a week before the exam, and also another 8 hour prep lab a
day before. Guess what? I still failed!
When I passed, the people around me and myself knew I had to, I play in
a football 11-aside league twice every week, and still managed to go for
trainings!, I was engrossed at several projects at work, and was flying
up and down. I had to leave an IPTV project in Scotland to fly back to
London 2 days before my exam. I remember someone telling me on GS that I
will FAIL if I don't stop worrying about work stuff when I was posting
some Multicast Technology flaws I discovered from the RFC and IETFs,
well maybe not flaws, but would be fantastic if someone do something
about the loophole!
I spent my last 24hrs processing my Belgian Visa and left the embassy
with it at about 2pm in the afternoon to catch up with the Eurostar
train at 7.00pm, I got to my hotel around 11.58pm .... Silly init? I
forgot my wallet in London and then didn't have any cash/card to pay for
taxi to the hotel, so had to just take the free train ride to Diegem.
I must confess, I went through some audio classes, but merely to make me
sleep! And woke up around 6.30am the next day only to start browsing the
online DocDVD.
Well, this is my own story and might not work for someone else, remember
we're all different with different body system and reactions to working
under pressures. One's man meat is another's poison, but what I am 100%
sure of is that, you need more than your last 24hours prep work to pass
the CCIE lab!
Many Thanks
Yemi Salau

And with that said, how are you going to feel if you
fail and it is only by a few points on something you
wanted to see one more time.
Of course, I never sleep before a lab, so I'm a poor
person to take an opinion from.
My good friend Yemi has passed the lab already - and
many others have said the same thing as well.
