I would suggest that you read up on the concept. It
is very important that you understand the concept as the question can

Few things to keep in mind are:
is the VC running Voice over it, if yes, you really do not want
adaptive shaping enabled.
If the configured CIR within the frame relay map class is the same as
the true CIR of the PVC, there is no need to throttle down traffic due
to BECNs. If CIR is not exceeded, BECNs are not generated.
when using Adapting shaping in the worst case scenario you are
dropping the packets at the VC queue level rather than the interface
level.
