I purchased re-furbished 2811 routers and serial cards from my local
Cisco reseller to build my own rack and ordered the necessary cables
from http://www.anthonypanda.com/. The routers were less than half of
the price of brand new routers so it was very cost affective. It made
it much easier to convince my employer to buy the lab gear since they
didn't have to pay full price.

I am using workbooks from 2 different vendors and there hasn't been any
task that I can not do. I read in an earlier post today that these
routers are also good for MPLS so they should be sufficient if MPLS ever
gets added to the lab or if you decide to take SP after conquering R&S.

Check with your local reseller.

HTH,
Bruno

Hi,

I am looking on the necessary devices to build my own R/S rack.
Internetwork Expert lists the following devices:
- 2610XM Router
- 3640 Routers

They are on End of Sale status according to Cisco. Do some of you know
what devices replaced them?

Thank you,
