Howdy,
Well, I'm an OS X guy for Dynamips at this point, but it's my understanding
that Linux (nearly any flavor) and OS X both sport similar performance
characteristics. My Duo Core 2 GHz proc w/ 2 GB RAM is smokin' and has
plenty of room left in terms of both CPU and RAM (no more than 30%
utilization of either one with appropriate tuning). Now if you get into
doing other VM stuff, the Brians I think recommend looking into a 3 GB RAM
upgrade. Of course, quad-core and 4 GB would be an extremely future-proofed
machine, so I would go that route if I could afford it. But I just cannot
foresee that you would run into any trouble with 2/2 for a full IEWB (or
other) topology if Dynamips is all you're going to run on the box...
Regards,
Scott

Scott et al:
What are the spec's for the linux box to run the full inetexpert lab's, do I
need a quad core/4gb ram or
can I get by with a dual core / 2gb? I am using the ubuntu distro.
Thanks
