ip sla monitor - IE lab 8 task 9.3

hi,

in the task we are required to monitor some sla
it is mentionned "r6 should account for icmp packets that have a delay which
exceeds 25 ms"

I used the timeout comment to do this but the solution shows the threshold
command as well.

the DocCd show the definition for the threshold command:

"For the IP SLAs UDP jitter operation, the threshold command sets the upper
threshold value for the average jitter calculation. For all other IP SLAs
operations, the threshold command sets the upper threshold value for the
round-trip time (RTT) measurement. IP SLAs will calculate the number of times
the average jitter or RTT measurement exceeds the specified threshold value""

I dont see why both timeout and threshold commande are necessary here.
Any idea?
