Hehe, just got understand with this question. Well, from my
understanding, the BGP did not send back the remote-as number it had
configured back to peer. Instead of send the remote-as number to peer,
it will send it's AS number or Local-AS (if it configured) to peer, and,
verify the peer's AS number that sent by peer.
For another words, the remote-as <AS-NUMBER> configured in BGP process
will not send out, it will used for verification only.
I'll happy to know if anyone would get remote-as from any ways.

search of this answer. I then did a search of the trace file for the

command and came up with nothing. I don't recall that anyone involved

the discussion posted back and showed me where I had missed something
(and
my capture was done on the BGP interface of router e.f.g.h, so if it has
left the router, presumably I would have seen it). If anyone has any
ideas
(or would just like to see the trace file output), I have a lab up in
Dynamips right now and will shortly be building out BGP. I'll gladly
turn
some capture back on and have a second look...
