Are you trying to achive some special task?
I think, you are trying to resolve a task, where you have to paths to a same
destination, but you are asked to set one path as active and the other one
as backup, but only using ospf right?
If that is your goal, you must set the metric from the less prefered path
with a higher metric than the other path, thus, it is only used as a backup
of the first one.
for example, is your serial interface is the BACKUP INTERFACE:
interface serial 0/0
ip ospf cost 9999
The configured cost under serial 0/0 is compared against the cost of the
other interface path, probably 64,10 or 1 the default values of all other
interfaces.
